Sports AdvantEdge Verona

Sports AdvantEdge Verona has been open since 2014. The premier performance gym is over 7000 sq feet and has our premier sports performance programs as well as Edge Baseball. We have programs running year-round both before and after school and on most weekends. We train athletes from 8 years old and up and all our programs are specialized for the needs of the individual athletes.

We also have adult boot camps that run 6 days a week and private 1 on 1 training and baseball lessons. We are located right off highway 18/151 and are 3 minutes from downtown Verona and the VAC.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Eric Montag is a lifelong athlete with a passion for coaching and athletic administration. He played football, basketball, and soccer through high school, and he developed an interest in weight training and running in college.

After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2017, Eric moved to the Verona area and spent a few years working in management roles for large corporations, before ultimately deciding to pursue coaching and earning a Master’s of Sports Leadership degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Outside of our gym, Eric is an experienced Muay Thai athlete, coach, and referee, as well as a certified boxing coach. He has also coached youth soccer and basketball, and has worked with athletes of all ages between 5 and 82 years old. He is passionate about promoting safety and ethics in combat sports, and works part-time with the Wisconsin Unarmed Combat Sports Commission to help regulate martial arts events in the state.

Eric operates by his personal mission statement: "to make a difference in people’s lives through sports and community,” and he’s excited to bring that mission to the athletes at Sports AdvantEdge.
