Meet Coach C.J. Miller
Director - Sports AdvantEdge Middleton
C.J. Miller is the Director of Sports AdvantEdge Middleton and a seasoned coach with deep ties to the Madison area. A graduate of Verona Area High School, C.J. excelled as a multi-sport athlete from 2003 to 2007—serving as a running back on the football team and a sprinter on the track team. His athletic achievements earned him recognition as one of the top athletes in the state, with high rushing yards in football and consistent participation in the State Track Meet all four years.
C.J. continued his athletic journey at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he was a key member of the football team from 2007 to 2009 and contributed to two National Championship titles. He graduated in 2013 with a degree in Health and Human Performance and a minor in Coaching.
C.J.'s coaching career began early, during his high school years, when he was invited by his football coach to assist with the school's Summer Strength & Conditioning program for middle school students. After an internship at a local gym in downtown Madison, C.J. reconnected with strength and conditioning through an opportunity with Brian Bott at Sports AdvantEdge–Verona.
As a coach, C.J. is dedicated to pushing athletes to continually improve and reach new heights. He emphasizes the importance of never settling and consistently striving to be better with each workout—guiding athletes with a simple question: "Did I get better today?”
