Internship Coordinator

robert@sportsadvantedge.com

Robert Murdock has lived in Wisconsin most of his life. As a multi-sport athlete, Robert found his greatest success in competitive water skiing, winning state individual and team titles, team national titles, and representing Team USA Waterskiing in competition in China.

He attended the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where he earned his bachelor degree in Health & Human Performance. Robert interned at multiple locations including private training gyms in Michigan and Wisconsin, Florida International University in Miami, and at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

After interning with the Badgers, he was hired by the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team where he worked for two years as a Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach. This included living in the Dominican Republic, working with Major League athletes during spring training, and traveling the east coast during the seasons.

In Fall 2019, Robert joined the Sports AdvantEdge team. After four years working in a variety of capacities as both an assistant and director, he transitioned in 2023 to Director of Development, overseeing the internship educational program and staff development work collaboratively with Brian Bott.

Collectively, Robert and Brian have spearheaded the development of The Coaches Edge, a digital database of exercises, Zoom recordings, and weekly tips from a variety of coaches and athletes—from the collegiate and professional level to the Hall of Fame— for use by schools that utilize Sports AdvantEdge training in their own buildings.

Robert is CSCS, FMS, & RPR Level 1 certified, and continues to expand his knowledge base to provide greater value to the athletes, interns, staff, and the communities that Sports AdvantEdge serves.

Robert lives in the Madison area with his wife Jessica and their three sons.
