Quick answers to common questions about training, scheduling, memberships, and getting started.

What exactly does Sports AdvantEdge do?

A: Sports AdvantEdge helps athletes get stronger, faster, more confident, and better prepared for their sport. We teach proper movement, build real strength and speed, improve agility and coordination, and reduce the risk of injury through safe, age-appropriate training.

Our coaches work with athletes of all levels—from beginners to highly competitive players—and every program is designed to help athletes perform better in their sport, feel more confident in their abilities, and build long-term athletic habits that support their health and success.

What programs do you offer for youth athletes?

A: We offer several youth development programs:

  • Youth Development (ages 8–10): Foundational movement, coordination, footwork, and basic training principles. These programs lay the groundwork for long-term athletic goals, focusing on safe, incremental development with the goal of adding lifting and more advanced training later on.
  • Strength & Speed Training (age 11+): For athletes who want to improve overall performance through well-rounded strength and speed progressions. Programs assess current skills and use proven techniques—weight training, agility drills, sprint mechanics, power development, and movement-quality coaching—to help athletes get stronger, faster, more explosive, and more confident in the demands of their sport.
  • Elite Speed Training (age 11+): Designed for athletes who want advanced development in speed, acceleration, and change of direction. Programs evaluate movement patterns and identify opportunities to improve quickness, reaction time, and efficiency. Training includes sprint mechanics, acceleration work, lateral movement skills, deceleration training, agility progressions, and technique-focused drills that build speed safely and effectively.

What age should my child start training with you?

A: Youth development programs typically start for kids 8–10 years old, and Sports AdvantEdge’s most popular programs are for athletes aged 11+. Ultimately, readiness depends on maturity, movement competency, and scheduling. A free evaluation helps determine the right fit.

Are you focused only on strength and speed? What about injury prevention?

A: No. We don’t just build strength and speed—we place a strong emphasis on movement mechanics, mobility, stability, and injury prevention. Injury prevention, mobility, and stability before load are built directly into our training philosophy.

For more on our philosophy, visit: Training Philosophy.

How many athletes are in a class or session?

A: Group size depends on the activity type, but groups are typically capped at 14 or fewer athletes.

If you’re concerned about group size, ask the location at enrollment so we can help you find the right fit.

How long are the sessions and how frequently should an athlete train?

A: In the Strength & Speed program for athletes 11+, sessions are roughly 70 minutes long. For Elite Speed sessions, the training time is about 60 minutes.

Frequency depends on the athlete’s level, sport, and goals. Sports AdvantEdge offers programs for athletes training between 1–5 times per week. We recommend discussing your goals with a coach during the evaluation to determine the right frequency for your athlete’s needs and schedule.

What is the typical schedule and how do I view or choose session times?

A: Sessions are available to book through Sports AdvantEdge’s Exercise.com software, where you can view available times and reserve sessions.

During the school year, scheduling is designed to fall before or after school hours. During the summer, we increase the number of available sessions to give families more flexibility.

What are the pricing or membership options?

A: Sports AdvantEdge offers flexible pricing designed to fit a wide range of goals and budgets. Athletes can choose from:

  • Session Packages: Bulk-rate discounts on larger session packs (for example, 10-, 20-, 50-, and 100-session packs).
  • Unlimited Training Memberships: Available in 1-, 3-, 6-, 9-, and 12-month options for athletes who want consistent, frequent training.

Unlimited packages of three or more months may include an option to be billed monthly for easier budgeting, while paid-in-full packages typically offer the best overall cost savings. Our team can help you select the option that best matches your training goals, schedule, and commitment level.

What are the package lengths and can I commit for shorter periods?

A: Many youth and high school programs offer 1-, 3-, 6-, 9-, or 12-month unlimited packages, as well as 1-, 10-, 20-, 50-, and 100-session packs that can be used any time during the year following activation.

Session packages can be shared between siblings and expire one year from the purchase date. Unlimited, time-based packages are individualized and cannot be shared.

As package size increases, the cost per session decreases. This structure is designed to encourage and reward our most dedicated athletes.

Do you offer any discounts or referral programs?

A: Yes. Sports AdvantEdge offers a referral program where current customers can receive an additional 10% off a future purchase for each athlete they refer who becomes an SAE customer.

We also offer a 10% sibling discount. The first child’s purchase is full price, and every additional child in the same family receives 10% off their purchase (packages must be purchased within one week of each other to qualify as sibling purchases).

What happens if my athlete is injured or I’m in season with my sport—can you accommodate that?

A: Yes. If your athlete is in-season or dealing with an injury, our coaches can adjust training or temporarily pause it as needed.

Packages can typically be paused once per package for up to three months for any reason, and injury-related circumstances are evaluated on a case-by-case basis to allow for even more flexibility.

Are refunds or cancellations of monthly payment plan packages allowed, and if so, what is your policy?

A: Yes. Sports AdvantEdge allows refunds for paid-in-full packages and cancellations of monthly payment plans, subject to the terms below.

Refunds for Paid-in-Full Packages:
Refunds are based on how much of the package has already been used. If you received a discount for buying a larger package, the price will be adjusted to match the size of the package you actually used.

We do not issue refunds for partial months in an unlimited-use package. When a refund is requested, your last day of training will be the last day of the current month (based on the activation date). You can continue to attend sessions until that date. Your refund will be based on the full unused months that follow that final month of use.

Cancellations for Monthly Payment Plans:
Monthly payment plans may be canceled at any time. However, because these plans are priced using bulk-rate discounts, canceling early may require a contract buyout fee.

Example:
If a client cancels a 12-month package after 6 months, Sports AdvantEdge will compare:

  1. The cost of a 6-month, paid-monthly package, and
  2. The total amount the client has paid so far.

The difference between these amounts becomes the buyout fee. Once that amount is paid, the package ends at the end of the 6th month, and the total paid will match the cost of a 6-month package.

What is your training philosophy?

A: Our training philosophy is built on creating strong, confident, well-rounded athletes through safe, proven, and progressive development. Everything we do centers around three core commitments:

  1. Consistency in Actions: Athletes improve most when they train with focus, effort, and regularity. We help athletes build habits that support long-term success.
  2. A High-Standard Training Environment: Our coaches create an atmosphere that challenges athletes, builds confidence, and teaches them how to work with purpose.
  3. Love & Ownership: We teach athletes to take pride in their effort, care about their progress, and take ownership of their athletic journey.

The goal of our philosophy is simple: to help every athlete become stronger, faster, more resilient, and more confident—both in their sport and in themselves.
