Tia Anderson’s previous position was as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at University of Wisconsin-Madison since 2020. As part of the Badger athletics strength and conditioning staff she responsible for the development and implementation of programming with women’s soccer, softball and women’s golf programs. Anderson also had other administrative duties and facility duties.

Prior to working within this capacity, Anderson spent the previous year serving as the strength and conditioning coach for the Badgers' women’s basketball program in addition to providing supervision and support at the Kohl Center facility.

Before coming to Wisconsin, Anderson spent the last five years at the University of North Alabama. In 2015, Anderson served as a graduate assistant with oversight of the softball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s golf, and volleyball while also assisting with all of UNA’s seven other athletic programs including football. In the fall of 2016, Anderson was named as the interim head strength and conditioning coach taking over coverage for all 13 sport programs until December 2016, when she returned to her role as graduate assistant. Following the completion of her master’s degree in human performance in December 2017, Anderson was elevated to the position of assistant strength and conditioning coach where she served until 2020. Upon her elevation, Anderson took on assignments with softball, baseball, and men’s and women’s tennis while still assisting with football, volleyball and beach volleyball. Outside of her sport assignments, Anderson was also in charge of North Alabama’s internship program and had facility and equipment administrative responsibilities.

Anderson served as assistant strength and conditioning coach (2014 – 2015) at Villanova University. While in this role, she was responsible for oversight of the department’s nutrition program, as well as equipment and facility management. During this time, Anderson was responsible for men’s and women’s rowing, men’s golf, throwers, field hockey and assisted with volleyball, men’s lacrosse and football.

Anderson began her career as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse from 2011 to 2014 where she spent time both coaching and helping student-athletes in the weight room as well as working within the nutrition center. During this time period, Anderson spent a summer interning at the University of Notre Dame, rotating through all three of the university's training facilities working with the entire strength staff and a variety of athletic programs. She graduated from La Crosse with a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Biology.

During her time at La Crosse, Anderson was a four-year varsity letterwinner as well as being part of multiple indoor and outdoor WIAC conference championships on the nationally-renowned women’s track and field program. Anderson is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
